Vitoria de Guimaraes candidate Rui Rodrigues has been strongly focusing on visiting clubs and businesses in the Guimaraes municipality. The candidate from the Lista D has been promoting proximity and direct contact with the community of the city-berço - not only with Vitoria de Guimaraes supporters, but also with clubs and businesses. These concerns with the regional business reality lead the former vice-president to propose the creation of a Business Council, "promoting a forum for debating ideas and possible support", in order to benefit the firms and the club. "Guimaraes has national and international reference companies. How can we take advantage and improve this reality? It is precisely this answer that the Business Council will give us (...) We can all gain, detecting forms of collaboration and synergies that can help Vitoria and the clubs that are close to us and where there are also many Vitoria supporters", explains the candidate, in statements to the press office of the Lista D campaign. "Regarding clubs, we have perceived what their concerns are regarding their relationship with Vitoria and we need to improve this in many areas in the future. This idea of approaching the community that surrounds us also passes through here and I will take care of it if I am elected president of Vitoria", he added, after stating that "one cannot remain indifferent to what surrounds us". Rui Rodrigues has already indicated several times that he wants to "humanize more Vitoria" - inside and outside the structure.
